I was amazed at the starkness of China in winter without snow. We were on our way to an undeveloped and unrenovated part of the Great Wall. The only color I saw was the Chinese flag. The Great was was part rubble and plenty of steps. It was amazing to hike and see the landscape with far less people on the undeveloped part!
